In Peru the majority of the coffee is produced by indigenous people from small farms, following organic farm management that's attuned to their cultural connection with the land. Produced from Western Peru this particular coffee is sourced from the Cooperativa Agricola de Servicios Multiples Norandino. Established in 2005 as an umbrella organization supporting sustainably sourced coffee from the following three coffee producing cooperatives in the northern regions of Peru ( Cajamarca, Amazonas and San Martin). With a mission to improve the quality of life for the farmers and their families, ensuring the sustainability of the coffee grown and selling their coffee beans to the specialty market, this sweet tasting coffee, of medium body and tasting notes of salted caramel and sweet citrus is a sure hit. Also within the organization, coffee producers receive training and technical assistance in land management, irrigation, organic farming, productivity and quality control and reforestation programs.
