How to Use:
- Heat your water — Bring filtered water to approximately 195–205°F (90–96°C). Avoid boiling water directly on the grounds.
- Grind your coffee — Use a medium-coarse grind. A standard starting ratio is 1g of coffee per 15–17g of water (adjust to taste).
- Prep the filter — Place the stainless steel mesh filter in the dripper. If using a paper filter, rinse it first with hot water to remove any paper taste, then discard the rinse water.
- Bloom — Pour just enough hot water to saturate the grounds (about twice the weight of the coffee) and let sit for 30–45 seconds. This releases CO₂ and opens up the flavors.
- Pour — Slowly pour the remaining water in a steady circular motion over the grounds, keeping the water level consistent. A full brew takes approximately 3–4 minutes.
