How to Use:
For Traditional Espresso Machines (Backflush Method):
- Prep — Insert a blind filter in the portafilter and add 1 Biocaf tablet.
- First Cycle — Insert the portafilter into the group head. Activate the brew cycle for 10 seconds, then stop for 10 seconds. Repeat 5 times.
- Rinse Portafilter — Remove the portafilter and rinse it under the stream of water from the group head.
- Second Cycle — Re-insert the portafilter without any cleaner. Activate the brew cycle for 10 seconds, stop for 10 seconds. Repeat 5 times.
- Final Check — Pull and discard one shot of espresso to confirm no cleaner residue remains before serving.
For Superautomatic Espresso Machines: Follow your machine manufacturer's cleaning cycle instructions, placing the tablet in the designated cleaning tablet or pre-ground chamber as directed.
For Soaking Parts: Dissolve one or more tablets in warm water to create a cleaning solution for soaking portafilters, filter baskets, shower screens, and other removable accessories.
For Batch Brewers, Airpots & Urns: Place one tablet in the brew basket and run a hot water brew cycle into the vessel. Allow to soak, brush if needed, then drain and rinse thoroughly.
